New year, new resources to share our impact

Ever struggled to find the most updated cancer statistics? Have you searched for metrics that show where the money goes? Or maybe you’ve wondered where you can find compelling language that will “wow” an audience with our American Cancer Society impact? You are not alone. You’ve got questions; we’ve got answers!
The new Making an Impact flyer is a powerful tool to demonstrate all the ways the American Cancer Society is leading the fight for a world without cancer. Available in English and Spanish, it is a perfect resource to share at meetings, pull from for talking points, or add to your next PowerPoint deck or social media post. The flyer is also available at cancer.org/impact in English and cancer.org/impacto in Spanish.
Vital Statistics remains the authoritative source for ACS statistical data. It’s been updated with all the new Cancer Facts & Figures 2019 data and the approved statement on our contributions to research breakthroughs which reads “The American Cancer Society has played a role in most of the cancer research breakthroughs in recent history.”
In addition to the 2017 Annual Report on cancer.org, a pull-out from that document, called Where does the money go?, has also been created to help volunteers and staff share our impact at a national level. This snapshot of our 2017 impact provides proof points (A-B-C-D) about how ACS is attacking cancer from every angle. We’ll update this content later this year as the 2018 Annual Report is created.
As a scientific organization, consistency and accuracy are critical to our success. We hope these resources will be valuable assets for you as you advance our mission and raise resources in your community!
