Country music star Mackenzie Porter performed at Nashville Hope Lodge

New ACS ambassador spreads the word about the importance of cancer screening.

The American Cancer Society is partnering with a new celebrity patient support ambassador to help spread the word about the importance of cancer screening. Country music star Mackenzie Porter is helping use her influence for good to promote our patient support programs and services and this week is performing a free concert at the American Cancer Society Memorial Foundation Hope Lodge in Nashville, TN.

The concert was streamed live on Instagram and TikTok on June 9. Watch the recording on Instagram.

On June 8, lucky Hope Lodge guests and caregivers received special access to the CMA Fest – a four-day music festival hosted by the Country Music Association in Nashville, where they also had the chance to watch Mackenzie play live.

With a family connection to breast cancer, fighting the disease is personally important to her, Mackenzie told her fans on a recent Instagram video. Her doctors have recommended she have a screening breast MRI, given her family history with the disease. (Shown in photo.)

During her visit to the Hope Lodge, Mackenzie also took a tour of the facility. Be sure to watch ACS social media channels this fall for more from this new ACS celebrity ambassador.
