ACS CAN to host 16th annual Research and Health Equity Breakfast on Sept. 29

National Cancer Institute Director Dr. Monica Bertagnolli will be keynote speaker.

ACS CAN will host its 16th annual Research and Health Equity Breakfast in Boston on Friday, Sept. 29, from 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. ET, at 521 Overlook at Fenway Park.

The hybrid event will convene leaders from life sciences, health care, government and business to discuss accelerating research and innovation collaboratively with ACS CAN, while advancing health equity. 

Dr. Monica Bertagnolli, director of the National Cancer Institute, will be this year’s keynote speaker, followed by a panel discussion highlighting the importance of innovation and health equity to help end cancer as we know it, for everyone. The panel will feature Dr. Donald Ingber, founding director and chaired professor, Wyss Institute at Harvard University; Dr. Arif Kamal, chief patient officer; and Kenn Turner, president and CEO, Massachusetts Life Sciences Center. 

Attendees will also have an opportunity to network with more than 300 leaders from life sciences, health care, business, policymaking and more than 30 ACS funded cancer researchers.

This event is open to the public. The program portion of the event will begin at 8 a.m. ET in-person, while the virtual live stream will begin at 8:15 a.m. ET.
