Recently, the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop team celebrated and honored store managers, volunteers, and shops for their outstanding contributions to the Discovery Shop program in 2024. This year the Denise Noel awards were expanded to include leaders that have made significant impacts, including Rising Star Manager and Shop of the Year.

Award Background
The Denise Noel Awards honor the legacy of Denise Noel, who founded the first Discovery Shop in San Fernando, CA, in 1965 after her family was touched by cancer. Her vision and dedication led to the creation of a 60-location chain of upscale resale shops operated by ACS. Denise's pursuit of excellence and commitment to supporting the mission of ACS continue to inspire our volunteers. This award is presented annually to individuals or groups in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the Discovery Shop program.
