DreamBall and DreamBall After Dark raise $1.2M for Look Good Feel Better

On Wednesday, Sept. 27, the annual DreamBall to benefit the Look Good Feel Better® program brought together the beauty, fashion, and publishing industries to support and raise funds to help women overcome the appearance-related side effects of treatment.

DreamBall was followed by the signature DreamBall After Dark, a special after-hours event hosted by the DreamBall After Dark Committee to engage the next generation of philanthropic leaders within and beyond the beauty industry. Guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, a silent auction, and music by the DJ duo "Isaac Likes Jenny".

This year, DreamBall honored Marla and Barry Beck of BlueMercury, Inc. and Donald Loftus of Parlux Ltd. BlueMercury was founded in 1999 and is widely recognized as one of the largest and fastest-growing luxury beauty and spa retail chains in the nation. Parlux Ltd. distributes and sells fragrances and beauty-related products, and is a subsidiary of Parlux Fragrances Inc.

Beauty industry icon Leonard Lauder, chairman emeritus of The Estée Lauder Companies Inc., and model and actress Elle McPherson presented the awards. Tony-nominated Broadway veteran Krysta Rodriguez, 33, a cancer survivor, performed and was recognized as our 2017 Dreamgirl. She is the star of NBC's "Trial & Error."

Jamie Colby, host of Strange Inheritance® on the FOX Business Network, served as emcee.

DreamBall and DreamBall After Dark raised a combined total of $1,226,460 to support the Look Good Feel Better program.
