Young professionals' Skyline Soiree in Chicago nets $300,000

Congratulations to everyone who supported our 10th annual Skyline Soiree, a fun evening for young professionals in Chicago.

The Sept. 15 event at the City Winery netted more than $300,00, way beyond its $185,000 goal.

The event is sponsored by the Society's Associate Board of Ambassadors, Chicago Region, a young professionals group that has raised more than $1 million in the fight against cancer since 2007, through the Skyline Soiree and Chicago Discovery Ball.

This short video will give you a good idea of what this event is all about.

Also, read this blog entry about the event. The writer noted: "Held at the City Winery in West Loop, the event was an evening full of food, music, and entertainment, not to mention one of the best silent auctions at a charity event that I have ever seen... The American Cancer Society is an absolutely wonderful organization..."

The evening included a wine toss, live music, and a silent auction with Hamilton tickets, trips to Ireland, St. Lucia, Napa, and more. More than 600 tickets were sold, and 440 people turned out.
