Our sponsor is Buckle
October is just days away, which means Denim Days will soon be here.
As the presenting sponsor, Buckle, Inc., an apparel, footwear, and accessories retailer for men and women, has committed to a minimum contribution of $250,000 for this cause. The company operates more than 449 stores in 42 states, under the names Buckle and The Buckle.
Since Denim Days began in 1996, participants have raised more than $98 million for our breast cancer programs and services.
The concept is simple: donate $5 or more to “dress casual” for the cause. Typically, employees and members of organizations get together and ask coworkers for donations to ACS in return for getting to wear jeans - or a Hawaiian shirt, or fun socks, whatever the team wants - to work on a given day.
Visit the Denim Days website to see what companies are already raising money.
Give-back clothing at Buckle
For every T-shirt with a “Unite to Fight” sticker sold from October 1-22, Buckle will contribute 20% of the retail price to AS. And, every pair of regular-priced jeans purchased from October 1-22 from a participating brand, Buckle will contribute $1 to ACS.
The website contains all the information necessary to get started, including sample social media posts using the hashtag #ACSDenimDays, memory and honor patches, donation receipts, a poster, a tip sheet, a breast cancer fact sheet, and “going casual” stickers.
Since 2016, Buckle has contributed more than $270,000 to ACS, and employees have contributed more than 7,400 home essentials to help stock our Hope Lodge facilities.
