End-of-year giving campaign underway

​New this year - the opportunity to earmark gifts for transportation, lodging, or research

Our 2019 year-end campaign kicked off Monday and includes TV, radio, and online video ads featuring the same "Attacking From Every Angle" creative that has performed well the last two years. 

Giving Tuesday on Dec. 3 will play a significant role again, too. Mastercard will match gifts, up to $150,000, on that day. Last year, we raised more than $1.3 million on Giving Tuesday. 

We will be promoting Giving Tuesday through, email, and social media. In addition, the Giving Tuesday plan includes customized promotional content to drive donations to Relay For Life, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, and Real Men Wear Pink 

New this year will be opportunities for our supporters to make restricted gifts. Three "More Than Money" campaigns promoted on and through paid digital and social media marketing will highlight the tangible impact that a gift to ACS can have for cancer patients in need. We will offer three choices – one to benefit a transportation fund, a lodging fund, and a research fund. The campaigns will ask donors to help us raise a certain amount money by the end of the year, with goals that equate to a certain number of free rides to treatment, free rooms near treatment, and support for one year of a research grant.

On social media, ACS will share storytelling videos and compelling images that promote impactful messages about caregivers, lodging, transportation, and research. These posts will direct audiences to give to help ACS continue leading the fight for a world without cancer.

With nearly one-third of annual giving occurring in December, according to Network for Good, these outcomes can make a big difference in our overall fundraising success for 2019.
