ACS-funded research lab advances liquid biopsy in precision oncology research.

Researchers at the American Cancer Society-funded lab at the University of Colorado Cancer Center – Dr. Srinivas Ramachandran and Dr. Alexis Zukowski – uncovered cell-free DNA signatures at single transcription factor binding sites from plasma. This is important work for advancing liquid biopsy in precision oncology research, including but not limited to breast cancer. The study was published in late August in Science Advances.

ACS-funded researcher makes advances in blood cancer research

Dr. Xiaolei Su, an ACS-funded researcher at Yale University School of Medicine, and team were recently featured on the cover of Science Immunology for their work showing that the activation of CAR-T cells (which have revolutionized treatment of blood cancers) depends on the size difference between the CAR-antigen pair and CD45.
