ACS CAN hosts 15th annual New England Research and Health Equity Breakfast

Hybrid event will run in-person as well as virtually.

The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) will host its 15th annual Research and Health Equity Breakfast on Friday, Oct. 14, at the Boston Marriott Cambridge in Cambridge, MA.

The hybrid event will convene leaders from life sciences, health care, government and business to discuss accelerating research and innovation collaboratively with ACS CAN, while advancing health equity. Dr. Lola Fashoyin-Aje, deputy division director and associate director, Science & Policy to Address Disparities for the Oncology Center of Excellence, Food and Drug Administration, will be the keynote speaker. Dr, Robert Tepper, co-founder and partner of Third Rock Ventures, will be honored as an ACS CAN 2022 Advocacy Honoree in recognition of his lifelong dedication and leadership to advance research and scientific discovery and to help create one of the most admired and successful life sciences and technology innovation ecosystems in the world. 

JLL Managing Director Bob Coughlin will moderate panelists Dr. Karen Freund of Tufts Medical Center and Dr. Sandhya Rao of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts as they discuss advancing health equity to provide fair and just opportunities for all people. The New England breakfast is ACS CAN’s largest state policy event and has already exceeded its fundraising goal for 2022.
