The American Cancer Society is hosting a special live virtual broadcast on Tuesday, September 12, from 8-9 p.m. ET, to kick off the 2018 Relay For Life season.
Please share this information with anyone you know who you think would like to start or join a Relay team. And, think about hosting a watch party. Need help? Check out the
Launch 2018 Watch Party Implementation Guide.
Can’t attend the livestreamed event? We’ll miss you! But the event will be recorded and available to watch on the
Relay Facebook page.
During the one-hour event, we'll be rallying communities across the globe to be inspired to take action in the fight against cancer by getting involved in the Relay For Life movement.
At 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Sept. 12, tune into the live broadcast through the
Relay For Life Facebook page. Throughout the broadcast, we will be sharing Relay stories, photos, videos, and innovative efforts sent in by our volunteers. If you post anything about this on social media, please use the hashtag: #RelayLaunch2018.
The Relay Launch will be a live virtual broadcast taking place in Washington, D.C. in conjunction with the ACS CAN Leadership Summit. While the two events will be taking place simultaneously, both will focus on the impact individuals can make by supporting our cause. The Relay Launch is intended for a completely virtual audience.
Locally, the Relay Launch is a great platform to bring together event volunteers and literally launch next year's event. Local events are encouraged to coordinate watch parties for their Relay communities, Event Leadership Teams, and/or others they think will be inspired when brought together. A watch party guide has been put together to assist staff and volunteers in coordinating one.
