Check out the wonderful post on LinkedIn written by Michael Marquardt, a member of the Boards of both the American Cancer Society and the ACS Cancer Action Network.
The global business advisor lost his wife to breast cancer when he was 30, and he has committed himself to the cancer fight since then.
He said he chose the American Cancer Society because "I figured if I was going to dedicate so much of my own “time and treasure” to an organization, I wanted it to be one that would truly make a difference in my community, in thousands of communities around the country, and around the world." And, he encourages other CEOs to contribute their companies’ time and treasure to the American Cancer Society, as well.
