​Congrats to Nucor Steel Louisiana, 5Point Credit Union, M1 Support Services, and Nucor Logistics!

Behind every Relay For Life event are many talented, determined, and extraordinary individuals who go above and beyond to support ACS' vision to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. They lend their time, talents, and generosity to the Relay For Life movement, and we truly cannot thank them enough.

That's why we're especially recognizing four outstanding teams through the Relay For Life Hero of Research Award. This award challenges Relay For Life fundraisers to engage in the fight against cancer in a new and dynamic way that focuses attention on our award-winning research program.

The Hero of Research Award offers Relay For Life teams who raise at least $175,500 during the Relay season an opportunity to name an existing post-doctoral fellowship research grant in honor of a loved one or their team. Once identified, this named grant is active for three years. 

These four teams, pictured below from top to bottom, Nucor Steel Louisiana (LA), 5Point Credit Union (TX), Nucor Logistics (TN), M1 Support Services/ IAM 2003 (AL), earned this honor for their incredible fundraising efforts in 2022. Grants will get named this calendar year.
