VP cruises past a half million dollars raised

New England leader Louise Santosuosso reaches major fundraising milestone.

Louise Santosuosso, vice president, New England Development, has one mission, to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. Now, the avid bicyclist for decades has surpassed $500,000 in lifetime fundraising for ACS as well as other cancer centers.

After 18 years of fundraising, Louse will be back at it this fall, riding in the American Cancer Society’s Bicycles Battling Cancer event on Sunday, Sept. 17. Having lost both parents, Audrey and Joseph Larocci, formerly of Topsfield, MA, to cancer, this ride is more than a Sunday bike ride; it’s personal.

“My mom and dad have been there for me every single one of those dollars raised, either here on earth or watching down from heaven,” she explained. "It's been four years since I lost my beautiful mother Audrey to kidney cancer, and 14 years since I lost my amazing father Joseph to lymphoma. Cancer has affected many people I know and love, and I am once again inspired to ride in Bicycles Battling Cancer."

The Bicycles Battling Cancer event offers scenic 30-, 50-, 70-, or 100-mile routes through Central Massachusetts and New Hampshire. To support Louise, visit http://main.acsevents.org/goto/LouiseS.
