​Recruitment and fundraising campaign in August searches for ‘superheroes.’

August marks the start of our Making Strides Against Breast Cancer kickoff season and is a critical month for the success of our events, reigniting energy and excitement that drives recruitment and launches the fundraising journey for general participants. 

This year, participants can earn a free cape when they raise $100 by Aug. 31, while supplies last. Then, they can wear it proudly as part of a community of Making Strides superheroes who are helping to end breast cancer as we know it, for everyone.

The promotion will run through the end of the month via social media, email, event websites, SMS, and through the app. ACS team members and volunteers are encouraged to help spread the word.

The campaign will share the message that there is a superhero inside all of us. We just need the courage to put on the cape. Join us and make Strides as a cancer fighting, cape wearing superhero.
